Mediterranean cuisine has a wide variety of classifications and modifications of food cuisine depending on which country in the Gulf you are in. Mostly the food Arabs eat is usually made from plant-based and nutritious food sources. If they incorporate meat, they made sure they choose organic or they will choose healthy options since the average people are living in the Middle East are Muslims, they do not eat pork as it is part of which they have to believe in their culture.


I love the food variants that they serve because aside from being healthy, they made sure to provide you an aesthetically pleasing food on the plate and no messy and no strong aroma if you ordered food in the restaurant. Even if they will use a lot of spices to make the food delicious, the smell is still fragrant and of course appetizing.


I remember the first time I ate Shawarma in one of the malls in Abu Dhabi. I automatically distinguish it from the Shawarma that I used to eat in my home Country. And the rest of the food I eat in Abu Dhabi is stomach-friendly and voila, yummy.

Ahhh. The first food that I fell in love with, here in UAE. This food is 90 % mainly consist of basmati rice, basmati rice is also known as long grains of white rice. Sure, you will love this as much as I do, if you love mixed rice with nutritious spices added.


2. MANDI



Just like biryani, this dish is also famous here in Abu Dhabi. It is the same with the dish biryani but mandhi used Mediterranean herbs and spices in the ingredients while Biryani used Indian/Pakistan Masala. Masala means mixed special spices in Indian Cuisine.


3. FALAFEL



Falafel is like a meatball, but it mostly consists of pure healthy ingredients consist of grind vegetables inside. Good for a healthy snack.



4. FATOUSH



One of the most famous salads Mediterranean Cuisine offer is the Fatoush. Aside from the pomegranate and lettuce, this salad has a unique blend of ingredients since they put crunchy bread on top. Because Arabs can eat bread every single day, they just love bread.

Kebabs are various cooked meat dishes with their origins in Middle Eastern cuisine. A kebab is any of a wide variety of grilled meat dishes.
